Sidewalks
At Terry’s Quality Concrete we feel that any concrete worth placing is worth reinforcing.
Reinforced Design
Sidewalks seem to fail much more often than driveways usually because, like patios, contractors feel that since they are not going to need to support the weight of a vehicle they don’t need to be reinforced. In the past many city codes prohibited reinforcing city sidewalks with steel and therefore sidewalk repairs are needed constantly. Terry’s Quality Concrete has found in the last few years most cities will now let you reinforce the sidewalk and approach, where they never did before. This is good news since sidewalks tend to be narrower and smaller than driveways and patios and are more affected by the freezing and thawing that occurs with the crazy weather patterns experienced by us all here in Iowa.
Curb Appeal
Sidewalks are often simple and have boring square corners. We at Terry’s Quality Concrete believe that residential sidewalks are a perfect opportunity to greet your guests in style and express your creativeness at a relatively low cost. Decorating a sidewalk can easily improve the overall look of your home and think outside the box as to the possibilities of the curb appeal of your home.
