Great weather is extending our season!

Great weather (from a temperature standpoint) is extending our season! This is great news to us as we don’t see our concrete season shutting down until deep into December and maybe not at all. Some people don’t realize that you can properly place concrete as long as there is not a layer of frost in the ground. This usually takes about 3-4 days of the temperature staying below freezing. Some rare seasons like last year (2011-2012) allow concrete repair construction to continue all winter! Obviously conditions such as snow still have to be delt with the same as any rain day but the temperature can easily be dealt with. We can batch the concrete with hot water, use additives, and cover the concrete with special blankets to allow placement in colder temperatures. We will continue to consult, schedule and complete concrete jobs for customers and long as we can. Usually at this time of year we have to tell our customers that they will have to wait until spring. Our monthly special for November will offer discounts for work scheduled for the spring. We will however, allow the discount to be used this year if the season allows.
